From LA to LAX, Seamlessly
The new LAX/Metro Transit Center connects Metro’s C and K Lines directly to LAX via a free airport shuttle.
The station offers a faster, more convenient way to get to and from the airport—no traffic, no hassle. Metro is offering FREE RIDES on the entire system from Friday to Sunday.
Connect to LAX Terminals
- Free LAX Shuttle
A dedicated shuttle will run every 10 minutes between the LAX/Metro Transit Center and all LAX terminals. Shuttles will pick up and drop off at the lower level of each terminal. - People Mover Connection Coming Soon
In 2026, the LAWA’s Automated People Mover will connect directly to the LAX/Metro Transit Center for even faster access to the terminals. - View system map
From LA to the Sky
The centerpiece of the new LAX/Metro Transit Center is The Distance of the Sun, a soaring sculpture by artist Glenn Kaino.
Suspended above the escalators, this spiral of real and imagined spacecraft symbolizes our collective dreams of exploration and connection.
Getting to the LAX/Metro Transit Center
What Riders Can Expect
- C Line: Runs from Norwalk to the new LAX/Metro Transit Center, its new final stop. Aviation/LAX station will become Aviation/Imperial station, and Long Beach Bl station will be renamed Lynwood station.
- K Line: Now operates directly from Expo/Crenshaw Station to Redondo Beach Station via the new LAX/Metro Transit Center Station.
- C & K Line Link 857: Discontinued at the end of service on June 6, 2025.

Know Before You Go
- Luggage: You can bring your bags on Metro—keep aisles and doors clear.
- Pay for Your Ride: TAP cards will be available for purchase and reload at the station. Purchase a round-trip fare to save time.
- Apple Wallet: You can add a TAP card to your Apple Wallet and pay for your Metro ride with your phone.
- Accessibility: The station is fully ADA-accessible, with elevators, ramps and guidance features.
Parking
- Short-Term Parking: Metro lots near the station will offer short-term parking up to 72 hours.
- Long-Term Parking: For longer trips, nearby paid parking options will be available—check posted rates and availability.
Safety and Amenities
The LAX/Metro Transit Center features security cameras, lighting, real-time train info, restrooms, a bike hub and a comfortable waiting environment for travelers.
